Kyra Minturn
Kyra Minturn (born on 19th August 1965) is an American actor from America. Her most prominent character is that of the Deputy Chief Brenda Leigh Johnson, on TNT's crime series The Closer. Sedgwick received an Emmy Award in 2010 and she also won a Golden Globe Award for 2007 for her portrayal Johnson. The seventh season of the show ended on the 13th of August 2012. Sedgwick is also known for her role in the show in the role of Madeline Wuntch on the sitcom Brooklyn Nine-Nine. Sedgwick was nominated for an Golden Globe award in 1995 for her performance in Something to Talk About. Sedgwick's roles in other films include Oliver Stone's Born of the Fourth of July (1989) and Cameron Crowe's Ones (1992) The Heart and Souls-1993), Phenomenon (1996) and What's cooking (2000) as well as Secondhand Lions (2003). The Game Plan (2007) and The Possession (2013). Sedgwick was born in New York City, the daughter of Patricia (nee Rosenwald), a speech teacher and educational/family therapist , and Henry Dwight Sedgwick V, the venture capitalist. Her mother was Jewish, was of English and Episcopalian heritage. Sedgwick has publicly declared her Jewish heritage and has said she takes part in Passover seders.
